No.4: Lemon Tea
Jump start your day, before the morning coffee
No.1: 5:30am is the magic number for me to begin my days! This allows me to have more time in my day. I feel fresh and can successfully commit to a morning ritual/routine before starting the usually morning responsibilities. I like to steam my face each morning and have 1liter of water with lemon (plus my vitamins) before I get dressed. I also feel super productive and dedicated. Many historical leaders swear by this method, contributing to there success. I use extra time to prepare my lemon tea and to meditate (see below). I would like to say I don't snooze my alarm, but I have found having a purpose to rise helps. I have started ordering my grocery delivery for 6am, which mean I need to be up and presentable before 6am! This method is working so far and I push myself during the rest of the week.
No.2: Meditation for me is still a work in progress. On a few occasions, I feel I have nailed it and have felt amazing. The key for me to achieve positive results from my mediation is to have the time to ease into the practice. Early starts help with this phase of my routine as I don't feel rushed or pressured by time. I love to switch on my defuser to allow rich, calming fragrances to fill the room and close down my eye and begin my breathing exercises. Once I have finished my session (10-30mins later) I feel vitalized and ready for the day to begin!
No.3: This is extremely powerful! Keeping a journal is a very positive and uplifting process. I love writing notes and lists for myself, so each morning I sit and write a list of things, people and circumstances I am truly grateful for. This can be from very small and general topics to very personal and deeply rooted topics. Uplifts your spirit and sets an upbeat tone for the day ahead.
No.4: Lemons are well-known to aid digestion and are great taken on an empty stomach, upon raising. It is a good source of vitamin C and massively supports the improvement of your skin quality.
I love to drink lemons in the morning as part of my routine. I often juice 1-2 lemons and drink with 1liter of water. I will also slice a lemon to make lemon tea, using only boiling water.
